An efficient and convenient life, as activities such as laundry are done by automated washing machines, makes users over consume due to technology lock-in. Designers drive this circle with the prevailing way of designing. Instead of always intending to make something new, designers should modify existing designs or even consider making nothing at all. This research explores the concepts of Undesign and Unmaking, and studies their practical use with an Undesign framework that is developed to explore a possible change in designers’ critical thinking.
